Spring 2012 T Ball

Spring Ridge T-ball is a learning and recreational T-ball program for residents ages 3 thru 1st grade, here in Spring Ridge.  The league is divided up into age appropriate groups and depending on which age group your child is in, the format may change.

For our younger players, ages 3 and 4:  The program is designed for an introduction to the game and is played on Sundays only.  We go over the game, some of the rules, how to throw, hold a bat, swing, run bases, and have fun while playing a sport!

For the players ages 5 and 6: we progress to two days a week (one week night and Sunday).  During this time your child will still learn the basics, but also apply those skills in a game setting on Sunday afternoons.  The games are non-competitive but allow your player to apply the knowledge and skill learned in practice.

For players ages 7, if the registration numbers permit, we also follow a two day a week format.  The players will be getting more advanced skills and utilizing a coach pitch option.  Again, this format is completely dependent on the number of participants at this level and the Recreation Committee has the final say on whether this will be implemented.  If not, then the players will participate with our 6 year olds and continue to develop their skill sets in both practices and games.

All of these levels and skills are dependent on coaches in our program.  While many of you wish for numerous teams and numerous opportunities, these cannot be made possible without your help.  Please consider registering as a coach when you sign up your player.
